were ,guests at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Cline in Willowdale •
last Sunday to help celebrate
.11,arold's mothers' 83rd birthday.
It was quite a surprise to Harold
and .Ann when Mrs. Eldrada Aust-
in presented them with a set of
stainless steel silverware for
their 25th wedding anniversary
which is April 15th. Further
congratulations to Harold and
Ann are extended by Mrs. Austin
and family.
Mrs. Austin lived near Holy -
rood until the death of Mr. Aust-
in on December 7, 1961, when
she left to make her home with
Mr. and Mrs. Cline in Willow-
dale.-

The funeral service was held at

in Lucknow on Monday, March 28,
at 2 p,rn., with burial in Green-
hill Cemetery. . • •

On Friday, March 16th, friends
-and C.N.R. employees and their •
wives of the Stratford territory,
held a social evening at the fish
and game club to honour Henry
Carter who retires as of March 31st.
Henry was presented with atau•
tiful mantle clock and a purse of
-money, and Mrs. Carter with a
lovely pot Of/Yellow mums.
He also received numerous cards
'letters and telegrams of congratu-
lations from officials and friends.

On Sunday evening 'Janis Farrier
Was returning from practising the

corner of the house, she had the
'misfortune to fall on a sheet of
ice. Her screams for help were
heard byher parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Garnet Farier, ; who, assisted
her into the house. • ; •
On Monday X-rays were taken

to a broken ankle. She vas all--
owed to return borne. It is the
same ankle which she had broken.
