Those in the village meeting.

dog licence have become fewer
and fewer in the last few years.
In 1963, there were 69: dogs
re istered in the village with 10 �0%o

• of them paying their dog tax.; . In •
1964„70 dogs ;were listed and at
the end ofthe year 7. fees were
still outstanding. At;•the end, of
this past year 1965, . there were 75
dogs registered in the village and'.
29people failed to•pay their lic-
ence fee.
The dog pdpulation is growing.
This year, 88, are reast
ed
in the village and statements for
dog taxes will go out next week.
Itis the intention to collect all
outstanding dog tax, both present
• and •arrears; in accordance with kx,
the dog' licence act..
• Licence fees are $2 for dogs
and: $4 for females:

and Kinloss were prepared to join

unable to be present but had been
in- touch with Mr.'Hunter, xhe
Ashfield representative: on the
Lucknow High. School Board. Ree-
ve, MacKenzie had advised hirn.
that the Ashfield board had mE t
and decided that they would leave
it with the High School, board to
decide. Mr.' MacKenzie had re-
marked' that they were concerned
with the welfare of the,village of •
Lucknow. • He said it was aood • good
farmers' town and that it needs
us and we.. need it. He had told
Mr.'Hunter that if it would affect
the industrial development of
Lucknow; he would•want them to
possibly take a second look at the
matter before making a decision,.
However, thedecision was left
to the school board.

MacKenzie of Ashfield. • He did,
however, leave it with the board
