Teeswater Women's Institute
were hostesses when thirty-two dis-
tact directors and officers of Bruce
South•District,'met in the Town
Hall on Tuesday, March 15. Mrs,
Francis Gemmell, district president
.presided. Mrs, Donald Ireland of
Teeswater, welcomed the group..
Several letters from the, adopted
Korean child °were read by the
secretary, 'Mrs. 'Donald McKinnon.
Thedistrict will again sponsor .the,
child and arrangements were made
for the Institute branches. to write
letters each month,
Plans' were made, for the :district
annual which will be held on May
27 in the Huron Township Hall.in
Ripley; with Purple Grove. being
the hostess branch; All Tweeds-
muir Histories are to be brought to
the district annual for competition,
the first .prize to be forwarded:for
provincial competition.
Mrs. William Arnold. reported •
on the District Tweedsmuir History
and -displayed an interesting and
attractive book.
Mrs. •E,' Rowe of Kincardine re-
ported on the sale of the Bruce
County' Tartan and the many add'
itional articles being prepared for
sale as souvenirs. . ••
