A highly' respected citizen,; Alfred E. Buckton, passed away in
Wingbam and District :Hospital. on.
Tuesday,.. March 1, at the age of
90,
Born in Manchester; England,
he was a son of the late Mr. and.
Mrs.'Thonlas Buckton. He was ,a
First World. '.War veteran and lived
at Whitecliurch: the past 13 years...
Hehad been employed as a fur-
nituredesigner at a Freston `turn .

,also for firms •in -Toronto. ,He was
a member of Chalmers Presbyter
ian Church, Whitechurch, and
'Sons .of England' Lodge, Toronto.
His wife, the former Annie Jones
died in 1960. Surviving are three.

Hamilton;. of. Kinloss , 'Mrs;. 'Thom-

church, Mrs; Brian (Ethel) Booth -
man of Hazeldine,' Alberta, and
one' son Herbert of Kinloss township(
12 grandchildren and 8 great grand,
children.

Mr. Jennings was'ordained Deac-
on in 1935 and Priest in 1936 'by •
the late Archbishop C. A, Seager.
After'ordination'he• served' in, the
Diocese of Athabasca. He return-
ed to the Diocese of Huron in 1941
