The Lucknow District High
School Board met with the Wing -
ham District High School Board
in Wingharn on Thursday of last
week. ,
Purpose of the meeting was to
determine if the Wingham Board
would be interested in an amal-
' gamation plan if the Lucknow Dist-
rict High School was to be closed.,
' The Wingham board voted on
the matter and agreed to go along
with an amalgamation plan with •
' Lucknow should they wish to be-
come part of the Wingham District
High School Area.
The position of the'Lucknow
board was explained at.the meet-
ing
and figures were discussed.
Wingham are presently engaged in
a building program and feel it
essential that the intentions of the
Lucknow Board be known as soon,
as possible. •- •

visit from Rel./. Russell Hors-* ;
burgh recently and had an opp-
ortunity to discuss with him de-
tails of his recent trial andim-
prisonment and the subsequent
publication Of the book "The
Horsburgh Affair" which is av-
ailable at The Sentinel. Rev.
Horsburgh is presently on $2500
bail 'pending rehearing of his
• , case by the Supreme Court: Rev
Horsburgh said that of all
many reviews of the book, the
only critical review' appeared in
the United Church Observer, the
church's paper.

The Sentinel was bothered with

day of this week, the second,

The smell comes from the base,

ment drain area and fills the
building with a sickening gas
odour. Efforts by the village
to correct the situation have
•• so far proved unsuccessful and •
• •the Condition is a baffling' one,
and a dangerous one as well.
