VICTOR E. CURRAN
'
Victor 'Emanuel Curran passed
away In Royal Columbiantlospital,
New Westminster, British,ColuM-
bia, on Monday, February 7th,. in
his 75th year. He was born on
•May 2nd. 1891.. at Crewe, a son
of John Curran and Sarah Jane -Ryan
•'Mr. Curran left the Crevie area ,
in 1913 for Port Arthur where he
taught school for a time, later
going to Saskatchewan where he
was employed in a clothing store.
In 1926, he went to South Burn-
aby, B. C., where he haxsince
resided. " •
Mr. Curran was 'a prominent shoe
merchant. He was a partner in
'Johnston and Curran'Shoes-Ltd.;-in
New Westminster. • .
Be was a Prominent mason, past
master of Virny lodge, and a char-
ter member .of New Westminster,.
.Mr. Curran is survived byhis
wife, Esther; one son Dr. J.V.
Curran orEvereit, Washington;
one daughter Mrs. 'W..J.Sexsmith
of Vancouver; three sisters,lvirs.

The funeral service was held
from Royal Oak Chapel on Sitnr-
:• day; February 12th with interment
10 in Masonic Cemetery Burnaby.
Mr. Curran had never been back
