A VERY BUSY SPOT • — is how to, describe Lucknow' Arena . on
Wednesday afternoons when 'the ice surface is available: for pre-
school . and 'those learning to skate it gives • Mom and the kids a
chance to move freely on the ice without any interference from more
experienced skaters. The Wednesday skating hasproven .quite'popular'
. ` and a couple of weeks ago, The ' Sentinel caught this shot of the kids.

judged ,on flavour, finishing, yeast
and mould texture and . incorpora-
tion of moisture and entries were
submitted in the contest from all

patient in Victoria Hospital in
London after having undergone
surgery there last Thursday for a
kidney stone. Jim is progressing

Carl Wagner, •of London,, 2.2 -
year -old' son of Mr. and Mts.: Germs
ald Wagner of Lucknow, was beat-
en unconscious by four, men early
Monday evening and his condition
at writing time Tuesday morning
was regarded as satisfactory" at
Victoria Hospital in London.
Carl, . .who is' married and the •
father of two little girls,: drives .a
bus for London', Transportation Com-
mission in that city and it. was
while on`his bus run that' the; attack
occurred; 'Carl asked four men to
leave the bus when they refused to,
pay their fare and when he stopped
to let them off, they dragged him
from' the bus and 'beat him into '
unconsciousness. • Money was also
believed stolen from the bus: •
Women and children and an older

but were helpless against the four
'risen. Carl was removed by amir
ulanceto Victoria Hospital. • No
.broken bones; were detected but
Carl was'.badly bruised.,
The .beating occuree Monday
evening about• 7 30 p'. m,. Mr. and
Mrs. Wagner were phoned in Luck -
now about 2 a.m. Tuesday •
morning and.informed of Carl's
injury. Carlhas been with the
London Transportation Commission
for about a year
