A new and valuable industry to
the farm people'of the area has
sprung up in Ashfield, Township,
over the past few months ... Hallow -
en Farms is owned by London and
Chatham -•interests .and is operated'
locally by Claire Hodges of;Dun--
garinon and Rod' MacKenzie of Port
Albert. '
The two steelsilos in the picture
have'a capacity for 47,000 bushels
each with a smaller one holding
about 10,000 bush4is. This Means
an overall capacity of over 100,000
bushels. Corn was first received „

about October and the new business
has been going steadily since -then.
It is located••near Port Albert, whe--
re the Dungannon road intersects,
with Highway 21, just north of the
old airport site...
Hall'owen Farms are in the corn
and contract barley business, clean
ing and drying, selling and buying..
They also have another building.
