Wedding Anniversary Friday, Dec- ember 24th, It was eighteen years last October since the Mc- Kenzies came to Lucknow. Mr McKenzie • is employed by the Canadian National Railways. IsAr. •and Mrs. McKenzie have two daughters, Marguerite (Mrs. Elmo Sanderson) of Lucknow, and Beverley of Malton 'and one grand- son; Bobby. - Mrs. McKenzie is progressing quite well after the amputation of her leg recently. ■ RVII� NAT r AT SECONII CAR AIM i4 f f {� f/ r• e hope that . this New Year unlocks the `door to complete fulfillment of all'. your wishes. We want to say thanks to our faithful customers. The Sentinel had the privilege of hearing the Wingham Harmony ° Men at thei;' annual banquet and election of officers held at tithe. Wingham• Legion. Hall, on Decem ber 28th.,; AS guests of Mr. and Mrs. Nor- man. Taylor; we were treated to•a delicious• banquet and some fine singing which; followed. Other press and: civic represent atives.:from area communities were also present.. The. Wingham. Harmony Men • are 'a chapter of the Society; for the :preservation and 'encourage •. • Ment of Barber .Shop,'QUartette k singing' in America, 'incorporated., -The name).is a,bit misleading to the average' listener . `.One might ' expect to find 'quartettesinging exclusively in a 'group;with such a name. ..Quartettesurging does play a' small partin the Wingham' group, but most of their work is done as a group comprising some . thirty strong, and .provide fine close,harmony.. It was our firsts opportunity. to hear these men•and we were. quite' impressed. What impressed us'. besides their music; was `the fact ,:that these men thoroughly enjoy this working together • as a group, and they bring much enjoyment to those who have the _opportunity • :to hear them. . Their association, in the mpney that they raise and in the dues that are paid for mem-` berslip, assist with the work•;of' Logopedics. A quartette number was sung by Alex Candy, Ray W aiker, Bill Connell and Hap,.Swatridge.'
