can Paired Home of this city makes
the following ded04iuns .f rout its
crop t•, ports : As yet there has
bet rr e0 general rai nand the sections
henefite.'d by tire slight rains are again
suffering from lack of moisture, and
the pastures in large a►leas have
again ceased growing. Seeding for
winter wheat is greatly regarded,
and the low price of spring wheat
is driving the winter wheat growers
to the wash, Farmers hardly know
what to do. A greatly reduced
acreage is likely to be, seeded. The
farmers are parting with their V. heat
more freely than usual, notwith-
standing the low price. •T•he spring
wheat thrashings are proving unsat-
isfactory, both in quality, and touch
below the 'estimates. There is no
late corn to be damaged by frosts.
It is now thought that the late rains
have not benefited the corn crop as
itine1 as was anticipated.. Missouri
has 41 good Crop. and Kan-
sas show up poor indeed, and Ohio
and Iurliana are low in the scale.
Iowa and Nebraska have fair crops.
'['here will certainly be no excess.
