Nunn Pennine Minn -There is likely
to be a new planing mill in Goderich in
the pear futures though the parties con-
eerned give out nothing for publication
The ohly one now in the town is the
substantial brick . mill built by F.
Smeeth immediately after the des -
traction by fire of the frame building
on the same site, in 1898.. Up to 1904
there was a second mill, conducted
first be, Buchanan & R hynas, later
under the style of Buchanan & Law-
son, and two years ago the -firm pur-
chased the Sineeth property, and had
the old mill torn down. Since then the.
business has been styled The Goderich
Planing MOTs, Limited. Jas. Bucha-
nan, sr., is president' and treasurer;
J. T. Goldthorpe, vice-presinent; John
Lawson, • secretary, and Jas. Bucha-
nan, jr. manager. Ie is now under-
stoon that Mr Lawson has ceased to be
connected with thecompany.and many
names have been connected by current
report with his as members of a new
firm. It is rumored that the • boiler
works property, formerly used by A.
S. Crystal, now of London, will be the
site occupied. Certainly builders gen-
eraly are feeling the need of something
of the kind. The large amount of build-
ing going on here this year makes it
impossible for the present mill to do
the work, and scene of it has been done
in Clinton.

put the crowd on pins, but the trick
Was repeated by the sarne player in
one minute, then again in half a min-
ute; Galbraith quickly followed, which
was the final during that period. The
second quarter started with a rush,
and in the lapse of a very few minutes
Ritchison scored the ilfth and last goal.
When play was resumed at half-time
it was evulents at •once•that Vaughan]
was 'petting forth extra zeal. The
checking was Very severe on both
teams. The combination work of the
visiting aggregation appeared to be
somewhat superior, but they were
weak at the points where the home
team happened to be strong, Conse-
quently they failed to score, even
though they had numerous excellent
opportunities.
When the Winghaue boys first ap-
peared on the grounds, very few people
believed Clinton would be victorious.
On the whole, tbey were the strongest
collection of lacrosse players ever seen
in Clinton, and, with the strengthen-
ing of the local team, there are some
interesting games, yet to come. The
