OATTLEC. -There was nothin much
of an exciting Mature 911 the Toronto
Cattle market on Tuesday. The de-
mand was a little slow owing to the
slight drop in the British market after
the rise of Friday last. Good cattle
changed hands at $5 to $5.25, while a
few sold at $5,35.
HOGS. •--• Puddy Bros., Harris Abat-
toir Co., and Park, Blackwell and Co.,
have been paying $7.75 off cars quite
freely, and so have secured the bulk of
the Toronto trade.
P017LTRY.-Mallon reports the de-
mand fairly good for spring chickens
at 2Cc per pound on the Toronto mar-
ket. Old hens are coming forward,
isorge at -10c -a :pound. Ducks -are• -12e
and turkeys 14c. All these are figures
for live weights. A huckster in the
St, Lawrence market was complaining
today of the slow market of bis Lang-
stone chicks, of which he had some
nide ones. Resold he was paying Ma
pair for spring chickens, 75c each for
ducks and 350 to 40c a pair for pigeons..
