Nothing in it
The Opposition press is not shout-

that revelations would ruin the Gov.

Mr. James Bryan, license inspector

The 'Blues
People suffering frona the. 'blues
should be isoiated for the -time being.
The "blues" is not only a disease, but
it is a highly' infectious one. Take a
roomful, of joyful, happy people, and
interject a sufferer from the blues into
their, midst, and in ten minutes the
conneany will look as if it had as- .
sembled to assist at a• funeral., The
room will gradually darken and grow
stuffy. Conversation will droop, and
people will .speak in whispers or grow
silent. Some' may make an effort to
throw off the nalf-ndserabie feeling
that has crept over theme hut the told
stare that will meet it will cast a chill
or the proverbial gloom over them
and they will telapse into the first
stag•e of the disease, and hold their
pettee, The rieeen f.of this is that the
person suffering from the disease is
never happy hub when he or she is try-
ing to nnload their troubles upon
others. They, talk te you witti sighs
ani greens of theirmany ills and aches
and paws, imaginary and real, until
you begin to upbraid 'yourself for ita
duIgine in happy thoughts or pleasant
reflections. The "blues" is more to be
dreaded than the smallpox but it is
not incurable. Sunshine and cheer-
fulness are the great antidotes to it.
