about two-thirds the usual number of
horses, were offered. The shippers
evidently had failed to' 'secure their
carloads, and only partial loads came
forward. in any ease. The farmers are
busy seeding, and there were none
buying. .After the rush is over there.
•will likely be more horses sent ..in.
Buyers were present from the North-
west and other outside points. The
horses were looking well, and were
generally 'very serviceable ones, Prices
