to the cellar in mistake for the pantry,
and, without noticing, stepped in, fail-
ing to the bottom, her head striking

arrived. Deceased was one•of the old-
est residents of the town, corning here

The West Huron Agricultural So-
ciety held their annualstatutory meet-

of the management, and. the whole

A FINANCIAL QUESTION. - Some .
weeks ago a petition Was sent to the
Government Municipal auditor asking
an investigation into the books ancl
• accounts ot the township, and as a
result that official mine up on Monday
last, and ,after looking into the books
he said he. found them all right, but
for the satisfaction of the ratepayers
he would on his return send up a Gov-
ernment municipal. expert to prepare

to the R. C. Cemetery, 'a large number
being present to pay the last tribute of

outskirts of Gotietich, near the over-
