Eattrar lianvesz-Mr, Donald Ross,
of the 2nd cooceseion of Stanley, finished
his harvest on Monday, Aug.. 18th, which
is earlier than usual.
This township can boat of having
among itt. residents one of the wealthiest
Men in the county, in the person of Mr,
John McKinley, councillor. The amount
of his wealth would be difficult to state,
but Witt known ' to be high up in the
thousande.
The township Of Stanley came very
neer losing its esteemed deputy -reeve, Mr.
A. M. Campbell, last week, who was laid
up by a severe attaCk of bronchitis, an°d
who was thought et one time to be beyond
recovery. His many friends will be glad
to learn that he is better. -
If, the 'thistles "along the Goshen line
are samples of what may be found all
over the township, the pathmaatera ehould
be prosecuted for neglecting their duty.
