Last week George Armstrong exchanged
a 1/0 at Littleton, Man., with Won,

acre farm. Mr. Cameron talks of tomov-

Mr. Elisha Edwards, of Hay, had the
misfortune on Saturday last, while work-

Mr. Edwards was in the act of shovelling
some gravel over which the bank projected,

It seems almost too good news to be
true, but the Philadelphia newsbapers
contain the pleasing intelligence' that. one
of the didn't•kuotwtt-was•loaded idiots has
at last wet with his deserts, although it
doesn't appear that in his case his idiocy
had the coetolnary results. A man who
"playfully"pointed a pistol at another was
put on trial for the offence, and actually
sent to jail for three months. ' Some
people will perhaps consider it harsh treat-
ment, but if a few sentences of thissort
for oven a longer period, had been imposed
years ago, it would have saved a great
many lives.
