Live Stock Markets
Toronto, June 24th -The run at the
City Cattle Market to-d.sy_wm.A.2.1qad_i4,
with 000 head of cattle, 738 sheep itiid
Iambs, 1000 hogs and 270 calves.
The warm weather has evidently
bit the market very bad, for business
today was extremely dull. The ex-
port market is quite a bit easier, and
the quality of the cattle is not quite so
good as la.st. week. Buyers were look-
ing for a load or two of choice ship-
pers, but found it clifficillt to make up
a decent load. Medium quality al e
not much iu demand, and prices are off
for this class, The wholesale butch era
complain that the consumption
of meat has fallen Off remark-
ably in the past week, many of
the retailers being forced to destroy
some of. the (lead meat they had in
stock. The result is that there is it
very light demand this week except
for the very -choicest light butcher
-cattle. In this class there is ° not any
further declines from last week's quo-
tations. For other classes of butcher.
cattle the declines are very pronounc-
ed. The run was light, however, and
stocks on hand will be bound to be
considerably reduced in a day or two
and further declines in the market are
-not looked for immediately, though
.receipts of laige supplies a grass cat.
tie in pour condition will inevitably
tend to depress pi ices generally.
Sheep and lambs are weaker and
about 25c lower,
The hog market is weak and about.
15c lower.
Sheep and Lambs -Good grain•fed
.lambs are quoted easier at $5,25 to $0;
spring lambs $3 to $5 each; export
.ewes unshorn $5 to $523; shorn $4.50
to $4.75; bucks $4.
Export market -Dull and easier; me-
iurn export, $4.9010 $5; choice. $5.10
to $5.15; extra choice, $5.75 to $6.
Butchers-Ilarkereasier, extra pick
ed butchers' cattle, $5. to $5.50, and or-
-dinary to good butchers' cattle at $4.60
to $49.0; common butcher cows and
inixed cattle, easier at $3 50 to $4.
Light Stockers -Market ;lull and eas-
ier at $3.50 to $4.
Heavy feeders -Steady demand] for
„good feeders, 1050 to 1100 lbs., at $4.75
•to $5.
Calves -Market steady at $5 to $10
•each.
Hogs -Market -weak and 15c lower;
,sclects, $6.75; lights and fats $6.50
Milch Cows -Market very dull and
'cows almost unsaleable.

As soonna the value of Peruna Is ilp:.
predated by every household, both as a
preventive and remedy, many lives may
be saved and thousands of chronic lin-
gering cases of catarrh may be pre-
vented..

Permit), should be kept in the house all
theitime. Don't wait until the child is
sick, then send to a drug store. But,
have Peruna on hand -accept no sub-
stitute. ' •
Children are eapecially liable to mite
catarrh. Indeed, most ortheuffections
of childhood are catarrh. •
All forms of sore throat, quinsy,
croup, hoarseness,laryngitis, ete., are
but different phases of catarrh.
Pe-ru-na, Contains No 'Narcotics.
One reason why-reruns:has found per-
manent use in so many homes is that it
contains no .'narcotic- of- any kind.
Peruna, if taken•acoarding to printed
directions, iSferfectly harmless. It can
be usec, any length of time without
acquiring a drug habit. It does not
produce temporary results, but it. isper-
=anent in its effect. • .
It has no bad effect upon the system,
and gradually eliminates catarrh byre-
moving.the cause of 'catarrh. .

No Doctor Required,
Mr. Edward Otto, 9s7 De Soto street,

cannot say enoug,h for Peruna. It
has 'done great. work in my family, es-

doctored with three or four different
doctors and they did.not seem to-do him

"We' gave up hopes of euro, and, so
did they, but we pulled him through oo

"We bad several doctors and they

Peruna has been used off and on for

When Sichness Comes to the
Little: Ones
It Is the Mother Who Chiefly
Suffers. . •
She suffers even, more than the' child
who happens to be siek.
IIer sympathy is deeper than that of
any other member of the family.
The mother looks forward with dread
to the torrid heat of summer, thinking
of her children.And the Many liabilf;
ties to disease that are before them.
Spring and summer are sure to bring
ailments, especially among the little
folks,
It does not-talce a mother very long to
discover that Peruna is the best friend!,
she has in time of illness among the '
children.
• A Multitude of Mothers
Have discovered that Fermis ia their
stancl-by, and that in teeny of the all..
awaits of spring and summer to which
the children are oubjected, Peruna ie -
the remedithat will generally quickly
relieve.
Whether it is spring feVer or stomach
derangement, whether it is indigestion
or bowel disease, a catarrhal congestion
of the mucous surfaces is the cause,
Peruna quickly relievethis condition
ofthe mucous membranes. Its opera- •
tion is prompt, the children do not dis-
like to take the medicine, it has no dele-
terious effects in any part of the body.
It simply removes the cause of the. •
disagreeable symptoms and restores the
health.
Peruna, is a household remedy for all •
catarrhal ailments of winter and sam- .
rnertatnite orohronio.
' The ;floaters allover the United States
are the best friends that Peruna has. , •
Mr.O.Ffallock,Antwerp, Ohio,writes:
"My daughter Arne, after taking three .
bottles of your Peruna is entirely cured
of catarrh of the head of two years '
standing. We have lased Peruna as a.
general tonic as well as for catarrh and
ara well pleased with it and recommend,
it to anybody who hail catarrh,' 1 •
. -
The Mothers Hold Pe-ru-na in Rigt
Esteem, •
Not only because it has cured them of
their various ailments, hut because it
Promptly rescues the children from the
throes and grasp of catarrhal dis-
eases.
We have in our files many ,testimo,
nials from mothers whose children have
been cured by Peruna. However, the
large majority of mothers who use
Peruna, wenever hear from.
•
But we do hear from a great number
'of rnothers who are so overjoyedat Some
special good they havereceived from.
Peruna that they cannot restrain their
enthusiasm...They are anxious to shar.
these benefits with other mothers.
