About eighty cars of peen and eva-
porated apples have been shipped from
Clinton station so far this season. .
It is said that more money has been
paid o

and, Huron than was paid for the en-
tire 'apple crop in Ontario last year.
On Saturday a car of apples was
run off the track in the Grand Trunk

was little or no damage done.
Last Friday was a wet day and
Mrs. Geo..Trowell kept the children in
the house. A lively five-year-old son
had formed a liking for syrup of squtl';s
and mistook the carbolic acid bottle
for the medicine and swallowed some.
Antidotes were administered and he is
about all right again except that h:s
mouth and throat are in a sore and
burned condition.
His Lordship, the Bishop of Huron,
has been- pleased to name the Rev.
