The Misses Dunlop spent their vaca-

Mrs. R. Phalen has returned from,
her visit to her parents in the "clas-

Mrs. McColl and daughter, Miss Hil-
da, have returned from a visit of sev-
eral .weeks at Port Credit, where Mr.
McColl is eagaged on the staff of the
Starch Co. They also visited Toron-

onto, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs.

Word was reeeived here last Week
the death of Mr. Jas. Lloyd. of
Stratford, brother of Mr. Roy Lloyd
and Miss Lloyd of town. He, with
a friend, was walking along a trestle
bridge at St. Catharines when they
noticed a train approaching. In en-
deavoring to escape one train they
did not notice another coming in an
oposite direction. Both men were
struck and instantly killed.

The members of St. Michael's
church, i3lyth, on Sunday mean
last, fa view of the impending depart-
ure of Rev. Father Hanlon,. presented
Min with it purse and an address, set-
ting forth in feeling terms the love
and esteern in which he is held by his
people. For five years Rev. Father
Hanlon has als.o been ministering to
the spiritual needs of the people of
St. Michael's, and during that -time
he has, by his many excellent qualities
of head and heart, endeared him-
self fo' them. The presentation was
made by Raymond McConnell. The
address, which was read by Thos. Kel-
ly was as follows :
"Rev. and Dear Father :—We, the
members of St. Michael's * church,
Blyth, on behalf of the congregation,
desire to approaeh you this morning
to express -our sorrow that the very
pleasant relationship that ha n exiisitd
betwetn you and this congregation for
the past live years is so soon to be
severed. We desire to gvatefully ack-
nowledge that your wise counsel, rea-
dy sympathy mud kindly help in every
time of need has made you very dear
