OUR WATER IS PURE.
Three different samples of water
have been sent to the T,aboratories
of the Provincial Board of Health
and they have shown respectively
6-7-8 parts of Chlorine per million
while one of the beat wells owned
by a well known citizens showed
40 parts, It is stated however
that neither of the specimens show
infection with harmful bacteria.
•
FAOTS AT HIGH PRESSURE.
All the Contractors complied with.
their agreements and did their
work faithfully and in an Al. style,
Citizens are placing orders for
water connections in their homes
every day.
Since the system has started our
Hardware .merchants have extra
help, and they are busy, putting
te, bathroom; connections and also
the taps.
Oxie Wan deserves a lot more ere-
dit than what he received, that is
11Ir, A. T. Cooper. Lots of times it
looked as •if the waterworks stood
first instead of his business. In.
days to some the -people Will have
reason to thank Mr, Cooper for
the 'way hefoughtfor the water-
works and saw it through to' the
finish. A good way to show our ap
predation would be to place him as
Chairman of the Waterworks Com-
rairsioners when the time comes.
It's iUnny thing but some of the
strongest Qppont nta against the

have their new pipe organ pumped
by water power from the system.
Thus the system takes part rn a
good service.

and his assisstant Mr. Greenwood
got after any slow contractf,r,
there was something doing.
Every Knock was a boost.

Now let our Board of Trade wake
up and let the outside manufact-
urer know that Clinton is the place
for them. Let them have our mot-

A furniture factory would bo
ones of the most sueeesafui in!atitu-
tion to have in this town; we have
the mechanics but not tixe worke,
The 'Western trade . has caused all
other factories of this kind to
be rushed With orders and all are
working up to their full capacity.
Let everyone (boost for Clinton,
help it grow.

a big mistake; we have read it for
some time And each month has
