A .GOOD MEMORY, , , .
The following item appears' 4n
the Toronto Star, anel is vouched
for as authentic. It is an Illustra-
tion of Sir Wilfrid Laurier's won-
derful memory. "Several years ago.
'before he became Premier.,he spoke
at Dungannon, during an election
campaign in West 'Huron, in which
the Liberal standard bearer was the
late M. C. Cameron. Being anxious
same to return east the me afternoon;
he was driven to Goderich, and
therd took a way -freight on the G.
T. tR:, A supporter of his living at
Clinton, the first station east of
Goderich,, who heard o f the circum
stance, in the meantime gathered
UP a &ohvd of about 40 and met him
on arrival at Clinton station. As
the train had about half -an -hour's
shunting to do here- Bir Wilfrid
entered the station and was intro-
duced all round, chatting casually
to while away the time. When the
train, was ready to leave he walked
around the entire circle, shook
hands with each man, and address
ed him by name, not making a sing
le mistake"

Huron Jail Is
One of the Best
The [Huron County.jail does not
bear buttthe picture of nar-
row +cells and bread -and -water diet
which frightened -the present gen-
eration of Goderich people 'when
they were children. A recent visi-
tor, who had inspected many jails
in Ontario .,expressed the opinion to
Turlikey John Knox that this one
was the best laid -out and equipped
institution of the kind he had seen.
For example the Jazldgne boys,ar-
rested in connection with the And-
erson murder, are quartered in a
large and splendidly -lighted room,
with several small 'bedrooms off an
adjoining 'corridor. The walls are
kalsomined an agreeable color; in
early days they were whitewashed.
It is true that iron 'bars are set in
the ponderous door and the win-
s, [but an opening gives view of
the hallway, and 'the windows look
ou>t on the street and the valley of
the Maitland. The. place is steam-
hea'ted, and a good-sized radiator
' 11flAion SCOQ
is a wonderful food' -medi-
cine for all ages of -man-
kind. It will make the
delicate,sickly baby strong
and well—will give the
pale, anemic girl rosy
cheeks and rich, red blood.
It will put flesh on the
bones of the li>•ed, over
worked, thin . man, and,
will keep the aged l;i`lan,
