Several carloads of immigrants ar-
rived this week from 'Malford, Ne-
braska. They have purchased
land in the Tofield district. The
first annual agricultural exhibition

iety will be held 'Sept. 28. The

venerable divine who notwith-
standing -his seventy-six years,.fif-
ty of which have been spent in the
ministry, preached with all his
'early vigor, earnestness and power.
The sermon in the morning was on
the glory of the church, based on
the 87- Psalm,, and that in the even-
ing from the 'words of St. Paul

Gospel of Christ" was a solemn
and impressive message listened to
intently' by a large body : of wor-
shippez s, Mr. Arthur, Lye, of Tor-
onto, an excellent .musician, pre-
