Clark was chosen chairman of the board for the year 1910. Phe special purpose of the meeting was to deal with the question of rabies inGoderich. The head of a dog which bit a man in •Goderich the other day had been sent to the provincial laboratory, and pre.- sumably as the result of the investiga- tions there. Dr. Tennant, one of the Government veterinary inspectors was in town on Saturday under instructions to inves- tigate the symptoms of rabies here. Dr. Tennant advised that all dogs be .confined or chained up for a time, and that the board issue a proclamation in accordance with this. .A resolution was accordingly passed that all dogs be confined or tied up for the period of one month.
