Carrick Township Does Better
The Township of Carrick has come in
for a good deal of "roasting” beca.usei of
its small contributions'in Inen and•money
in the interests of, the War. But it ape
pears, to be improving as time goes on.
The Mildmay Gazette, which is the voice
of ,the township, states that den effort by
local patriotic workers resulted in raising
$775.00.by. subscription for :'the British :
Red Cross Fund.'' This is nota big
amount for so rich a township as Carrick,
but the Gazette sestet it. is quite as _im-
provement on what wasldone a year ago.
