tour of the, province, having made an in-
spection of the oroliardsi in most of the
fruit growing districts.

says, will be gathered from the Lake
Shoredistricts,and the best orchards he

inspected were n Prince Edward County.
He estimates the orchards of Eastern,
Ontario as producing: about half their
usual crop, and the quality to be fair.
The Georgian Bay district will have

about 30 per cent.No.-I's. All west of
Toronto, the crop is very light and qual-
ity poor, most of the apples being troubl-
