Riabinson had. to have an operation performed on his leg in the Clinton hospital last week. We hope that he will return home quite well ere long. Successful anniversary services were held at the Baptist church, on Sunday and Monday last. Rev. S. E. Gtigg of Toronto preached afternoon and evening to good congregations who enjoyed greatly, the excellent sermons and the music so efficiently readered by the choir. On Monday t evening Mr. Gig gave an address on. "God's Canadian," which was full of inter- esting and profitable matter and ell aglow with patriotic and religious en- thusiasm. Miss Eileen AooVer, of Clinton contributed two solos on the violin, ;Mrs. Hoover sang a solo and both rendered a duet all of which were much enjoyed. Miss- Verde, As- quith gave a recitation, the choir rendefed a selection and Mrs, How. :son and Mrs. Schrimengeour a duet. The collections reached a total •of $147, The pastor will preach a N. special Temperance sermon at the Baptist church on Sunday afternoon next.
