row escapes beve been reported and
if the practice continues its bound
sooner or later to provide the doc-
tors and maybe tate undertakers with
a job.

CATTLE SHIPMENTS. •
Among the cattle shipments • made
on, Saturday last from Clinton sta-
tion was a carload of bullocks sent
by Mr, S. 1-1. Smith , which
had au average werght of 1366
pounds, several of the steers tipping
the beam at 1500. Mr, Smith's big
farm with the best of grass enablee
him to get his stock into sutra goad
shape as to suit, the most particular
market.
THE POULTRY SHOW,
The 14th annual Huron Poultry
and Pet Stock Show will be heicl in •
Clinton on Jan. 4, 5 and 6 next, this
decision having been arrived at
