However, while. performing his self-im- posed"task, ,he made some statements which were very misleading. -Fd the benefit- of those who wereso fortunate as to hear ` his elucidations of"the special difficulties of coun- try Sabbath Schools and how they maybe overcome;" which be so happily illustrated by a reference to the Sabbath Schools 'of the Belgrave Circuit, we would desire, to make • the: following statements which we are pre- pared to substantiate. • ' We have four Sabbath' Schools on this cir- cuit; three of which have for.', several years been`kept open summer and winter, and the fourth will not be closed this 'winter, These schools>are all well: supplied -with libraries, lesson •helps, &c., and',: are ably', conducted by energetic, superintendents and teachers, manyof whom have taken ap a "course of in= struct-ion in moral work. - In Belgrave, we have the names of 113 scholars on the roll and 11 officers and teach-. ere. Since Conference we have raised and ex- tended S40 for our school. $30 being obtained by a subscription in the congregation and the • remaining $10 by a- collection taken up in Sabbath School.
