Alma Church on Sunday. This gentle-

T. Bray, has been sold to Dr. Towler, of

He' takes immediate possession, and is
sure of a good busines.

quiet this week, there being. very little
moving. Farmers are busy and as a con-
sequence merchants dull. •

Mr. W. Quigley, blacksmith at Bruns -
don's, has gone to parts unknown.
, The stone foundation under the Tem-
perance hall, is completed at last. ,
There is not a house unoccupied in this
place at present, and several more are
wanted eould they be got.
This place is getting in a more healthy
state now, and most of those who have
been sick are recovering.
Rev. Mr. Hamilton continues to im-
prove, and his many friends soon hope to
see him fully restored to health.
Dr. Young, ,who has had an attack of
fever, has gone to Whitby to rest, until he
recovers sufficiently to attend to his busi-

Glasgow McPherson & Co., of Clinton,
a Minnesota Chief thresher, driven by a
Leonard engine. This wonderful machine
attracted unusual attention on the' ground,

at Fingal and Clinton have turned out no

A citizen of this place gotdost in Clin-
ton, the' night after the show, taking the
Base line for home, and finding, when in
the neighborhood of Suminerhill that he
was somewhere, but he didn't know where,
concludedto pit up at the nearest barn
and wait for day; t`drearning•of home and
mother" the remaining part of the night.
Ile got home shortly before noon next day.
Coma or REVISION. -The adjourned
Revision of the Voters List was resumed
here on Monday before Judge Toms,when
the Reformers made it clear gain of about
fifty votes. The proceedings showed that
the most scandalous attempts had -been
made to increase the Conservativenum-
bers in the township, and it is more than
probable that circumstances developed at
the Court will not be allowed to rest here.

Mr. James McLean, of Tuckersmith,
Huron, shows a fine red Durham bull, a
massive animal, one of the heaviest on the
ground, and ahnost faultlessly shaped ffir
so large an animal.Took first at Provin-
cial and at Toronto Industrial last year.
This animal is a two-year-old.

An apron on muslin, lay Mrs. Rudolph,
Egmondville, is well done, and one OD

difficult piece of work in the collection.
A prominent gentleman from Huren,
county, who arrived in the city yesterdays.,
offers to bet odds that the Western Fair
will prove the most successful of the whole
list of Ontario fairs, and he attended the
Industrial at Toronto,and the Provincial at
Kingston. He also ventures the opinion
that the last Provincial Exhibition has
been held. In his own locality the inte-
rest -in this year's London Fair Is unpre-

paid this town a visit and inspected the
school here yesterday. In the raining
he went thl-ough-the -several divisions,
making observations on the course pur-
sued, and in the afternoon the children
were given an holiday, while he had the
modelites for a class, to whom he gave in-
structions as to 'the best modes of pro-
ceedure in dealing with children of diller-
ent ages. His manner of treating the
subject is very_ pleasant find instructive,
