Last week complaint was again laid against
3. H. Lloyd, the handless man of Goderich
township, by his wife, and he was bound over
to keep the peace in sureties of $400 himself,
and two other sureties of $200 each. He was
sent to jail in default of payment. '
\Ve are pleased to learn that Mr. C. Hlncks,
son of Mr. Harvey Hincks, of Goderich town-
ship, and who has been studying medicine in
Detroit, on .Vednesday last passed• a satisfac-

gan College of Medicine, Detroit.
Our readers will be pained to learn Of the
death of Mr. Jas. Hartley, school teacher in
Section No. 4, AlcKillop, which took place at
his residence on Thursday morning last.• A
few weeks ago Mr. Hartley underwent an
operation for the removal of a tumor, which
was expected would save his life, but withont
avail, : He was married a few years ago to the
yonnb+est daughter of the Rev. Mr. Musgrove,
and he leaves a young widow and two small
children to mourn bis irreparable loss.
