Mr. John Hartley, principal of the

and convincing manner.

DEATH' OF MRS. W. MURPHY,
Mrs, W. Murphy passed nAVO On
Thursday afternoon last at 'the age of
77 yeara. Her maiden name was Jane
Mille and she was born in , County,
Formenagh, Ireland., • in 1831. The
family came .0 this country when she
was nine years of age and settled on
the Base Line, Hullett. After her
marriage to Mr, Williani Murphy in
1.860 they settled on the Ilitte, con. of
Goderich township, on the farrn now
owned by • Mr. Charles Baker. , Mr.
Murphy peedeteased hot some. nine
years and now she is surviVed by one
sinter only, •Mrs, Cottle who is far
adeaticed in years. The fettered took
place on Saturday afteimoon to Clin-
ton cemetery,' the services being con-
&tete& by the Rev. C. R. Ginnie, the
dedeaSed haVing been a life-long melte
bet of the Anglican' Church. The pall-
