To The Electors

West Huron
GENTLEMEN -
As a candidate for parliament, I re-
espectfully ask your support in the
coming campaign. I have lived in the
county,with only a shot absende,since
July 1865. I have taken a so,mewhat
active part in public affairs, and have
.always been willing that the search-
light should be turued on either my
public or private acts. I do not say
that I have not made mistakespao one
knows that I have better than myself,
but I do say that I have always en-
dea, vored to advance the interest .of
the Dominion as a whole, and those of
the Riding in particular.
' While in general I am a supporter
,of the present government, I am a be-
liever in the abolition of the Senate.
I think it would be wise to reduce or
abolish the duty on coal. I would
try to make the custom taxes paid by
farmers Its light as possibes. I fever
any scheme that will give farmers a
telephone system,so that eyery farmer
,could have a telephone in his home. •
I think the facilities of •the post
• offfae could be materially increased in
the public interest. I believe the voter's
lists should be more up to -date, and
that no one should lose his franchise.
because he had moved from one con-
stituency to another. k believe in
jaevernment control of any public
utility.
I believe in the prudent expenditure
of public monies for the d,evelopment
of the trade and resources of this great
Dominion. I belieye that public men'
seheuld be above reproach; that princi-
ples should mean more than party;
that the interest of the country is
greater than that of an individual.
If you see fit to elect me as your
•epresentative, I assure you I will do
;my best to show that yam confidence
has net been misplaced.
Respectfully soliciting your influence
in my behalf, as well as your vote, I
am very truly yours
R013T. HOLMES.

There ie no torture more intolerable
than nervousness. A nervotts persOn
is in a state of cOnstaut irritation by
eu erer /star s at every noise, is 0134Y,
and depreseed. Often although in a
completely exhausted state is unable
to sit or lie still. For trouble of this
kind absolutely the best thing In, the
world is Dr Williams' Pink Pills. The
nerves are laded and, jangled because

soothes the irritated nerves. There is
absolutely no doubt about this ; thous-

Wallace Bridge, N. S., wile says: -
"Some years ago I took suils, aucl tbe
doctor pronounced the troublenervous
prostration. To describe tortures of
xt impossible. God and myself only
know wtat I endured, The doctor
gave me medicine, but it did not seem
to help me. 'Then he ordered me away
for a ehange, but I was afraid to go, as
I always seemed to fear some finperid-
ing calamity, and was afraid, to spend,
the night alone, as I used to think
each night that I would die before
morning. I tried different kinds of
medicines but with no better results,
and neatly decided I would go to my
Pareets to see if the cha,nge would
benefit me. I went' to their doctor, but
with no better results. My mother
urged me to try Dr. William's Pink
Pills, and got rue a box. Of course, I
did not expect a box would help me,
but I continued taking them, and, ip
about a menth began to feel better.
• From :that on, there was an improve-
ment in tny edndition every day, and
in the course of about threaeosonths, I
was again enjoying the great blessing
• of perfect health. I gained about 20
pounds in weight, and my. friends
could hardly believe I was the same
pereon. I believe I would have been
in my grave long ago if it bad not been
for Dr 'Williams' Pink Pills." '
