The weather clerk has certainly been smiling on the Liberal Premier, for not-
withstanding the great need (Crain, not one of the four meetings already held

MARATHON RACE.-- The following
particulars concerning the Marathon
road race between Stratford and
Mary's, a distance of 14 miles, was in-
tended for a previous issue but was
omitted. ,There were 30 entries, and it
was much to the credit of Norman Mc-
Dougall that he shouldcome in third;
