ACCIDENT—While Mr Joan Britton
was delivering some cattle, some got
•past him, and were making their way
home, when Mr Britton in the ant of
turning :the horse about,the buggy
capsized, throwing him violently to
the ground, leaving hini almost un-
conscious for a few minutes; although

quietly testing, not appearing to he ,
other than somewhat exhaustee, at he ;
had heart trouble, Mrs Govier had
gone down cello, and called up to ask

ing no teply, she hurried up and found
him dead. Deceased was it quiet, un-
obtrusive man, who enjoyed the re.

Mr. Inwocd, Provincial Organizer,
made a Visit to Clinton on Friday last,
to make provisional arrangements for
• the forthcoming ,visit of the Premier,
• Sir wuteid, Lawler, and the Minister
of Railways, Hon, Geo. araharmwhich
will take place on Wednesday, Sept
23rd. A number of leading Liberals
were also presentancluding_eonte from
Goderich, Reaforth and Exeter. A
ptrong local committee was formed, .of
which Dr. Shaw is Chairman, and F.
llodgens, Secretary.
Sir 'Wilfrid and party will arrive here
on the train from London, and an in-
formal reception will take place at the
station, ' where he will remain in his
private car until they start for the Re-
creation Park at LSO.
The procession will include 'at least
four bandaand possibly a band of
'Highland, pipers. It is expected that
the town will be gaily decorated,manY
of the townspeople,irrespective of poli-
tics, consenting to assist therein.
Arrangements are being made for it
couple of special trains, in addition to
the regular service, to accomroodate
those coming -from it distance, and re-
turning after the demonstration is over
Shouldthe day be fine a large crowd

ants will have all they can do to ac-
commodate the people. Still, they
have been equal to similar emergencies
