AN OLD RESIDENT -Another of the
old residents of Goderich was buried
Monday afternoon, in the person of
Mrs Wm Chuminghaan, whose death
tbospplace on Friday last. Thedectag-
ea looked less than a month of being
years .or age. She was bOph in tbe
County of N...rthuntberland; and .in
1848 was married there.' About forty
years ago they Moved to Colborne .TO.,
and:resided there until twenty-five or
twenty-six years ago,then they Moved"
to Goderich, for a number of years re-
siding on the Rur011 road, just outside
the town. For the past fifteen years
-Mei Cunningham had lived • in GOO -
rich, her hothead. predeceasing her by
about eleven years. Mrs Cunning -
ham's Maiden 'name was Rosy Ford,
and she was the last member of the
family: She leaves,of hey own fetidly
of nine, eight children surviving ae
follows: Wm. Cunningham, Colborne
Tp., John Cunningham, Brussels;.
Henry Cunningham; Michigan; Mrs
'W Wyatt; London; Mrs S Stoke,
Michigan;David Cunningham,Walton
and the Mieses Ounninghain of town.
The funeral services were conducted
by Rev Dr Dougall, pastor of North
Street Methodist Church, and the
.pallbearers were three sons and three
sons-in-law, of the deceased,Wm, John'
. and David Cunningham, and .Mr Wy•
att, Mr Stoke and George Rutledge,
of West WavvanciSh.

this vicinity with. the view of find-
ing out the apple prospects in Huron
county especially of tbe district adja-
centto Olinten,. they all, nopear to
be of the same opinion, viz. That the
Crop of winter fruit is much lighter

than that of 1907, but of a distinctly
better class. • There will be less "wind-.
falls," which practically means a fall-
ing off of evaporator •supplies.
SLIGHTLY DULL -A Huron farm-
er', has in his employ a newly arrival
English lads who is doing his best to
learn farming. The other day the
farmer, anxious to now what was
going on in the Outside world, sent the
boy to the neighboring post office to
get his mail, not for a moment think-
ing it necessary to enumerate what the
mail consisted of. The boy came back
'empty-handed, . with - the remarks,
