est son of James Ross, of Goderlch
Township, was struck by the knowing

Presbyterian Church by the Sunshine
Mission Band. The programme, all of
which Was given by the children of the
band, consisted of readings, reeitations
songs, dialogues and drills: The train-

was primarily due to pneumonia. The
funeral took place on Saturday, was
conducten by Rector. Horsley, inter-

brated Pianos and Organs:but the pro-
metersof the new company did not
want to assume responsibility for the,
loan of$25,000 made to Me Doherty by
thetown.some years ago, gttorta have
been made to arrive ateome comprom-
ise between the town arid the Doherty
Company,regarding this loam, and the
members of the council basic, spent
considereble time considering bhe mat-
ter, so that a basis of settlement could
be reached, safe and satisfactory so far
as the town is concerned, and reason-
able and fair to the DobertyCompany.
At a special meeting of the Council;
on Monday night, a proposition as fol-
