ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES COORDINATOR
(Full-time, Permanent)
The Municipality of Morris-Turnberry and the Township of North Huron
are two rural municipalities on the north-east corner of the County of
Huron. They have entered into a shared services arrangement,
including Public Works and Building departments. As a result, they
have an opening for the position of Environmental Services
Coordinator, reporting directly to the Director of Public Works.
The Environmental Services Coordinator will assist the Director of
Public Works and Manager of Public Works for capital projects,
development coordination, asset management planning, GIS system
management, budget tracking and routine reporting. This position
leads internal efforts and supports contracted operators with
regulatory compliance for all aspect of Public Works. The
Environmental Services Coordinator will coordinate with contractors
and the Manager of Public Works to follow-up on water, wastewater,
landfill, water and sewer complaints or service requests. This position
is the primary Drainage Superintendent.
Qualifications:
• Post -secondary diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or related
discipline;
• At least three years' experience in a municipal or related field;
• Strong knowledge of construction practices, budgeting, and project
management;
• Strong written and oral communication;
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of software used (Excel, GIS
and Accounting Software);
• Valid class G driver's license.
