We were overwhelmed by everyone's generosity and support! Together, we raised just over $7,000 to donate to the Cardiac Care Unit at LHSC. We truly appreciate everyone who bought tickets, donated items for the silent auction, made monetary donations, and/or attended the barbecue. We really appreciate being a part of such a caring community. It was wonderful to see so many people at the barbecue. Denis and Kevin would have been proud. We would like to extend our sincere thanks for all the support, cards and tributes following the death of our beloved son and brother, Philip Blake. Thank you to the medical and nursing staff at Seaforth and Stratford hospitals. Thank you to Father Keith Morrison for spiritual care for Phil and family at Stratford hospital, his ongoing support, and for officiating the lovely Mass of Christian Burial. Thank you to Frank and Jennie of Schimanski Family Funeral Home for their service and guidance. Thank you to Kevin Deitner for handling the parking at the church. Thank you to Miriam Terpstra, Glenda Morrison and the youth choir for their gift of music. Thank you to the Brussels Legion Ladies for providing the lunch following the service, and all the extra work they did to set up the community centre so nicely. Words cannot begin to express our gratitude and thankful- ness to Dad's friends, colleagues, neighbours and our family during his journey over the past seven months. Thank you for the calls, food and visits to Glammis while he was recovering from his surgeries. You made his Tuesday visits to the Legion and Friday visits to the Fish and Game so enjoyable. He really enjoyed touring and visiting in Seaforth and surrounding area on Wednesdays with Scott. Special thanks to everyone who helped him celebrate his 75th birthday in April. Special thanks to the CCAC of Bruce County that allowed Dad to stay with us for so long. The weekly nursing visits, PSW support and doctor visits were appreciated and very supportive during his journey. Thank you to Bruce County Ambulance Service and the medical staff of Kincardine and Seaforth Hospitals for the supportive and personal care during his short stay. Special thanks to McGlynn Funeral Home, Rev. Dwight Nelson, Donny Sills (soloist), Jack McLlwain (urn bearer), Neil McGavin, Mark McLlwain, Rick Albrecht, Colin Underwood, Ryan Driscoll and Steve Hildebrand, (eulogists), the First Presbyterian Church ladies for the delicious lunch and the Seaforth Legion Branch 156 for hosting his Celebration of Life and our family dinner. Thank you for the cards, donations, beautiful flowers, food and meals, phone calls and genuine support to our family.
