Plenty of action
The London Knights, shown above in a special off-site practice held in Blyth in 2011, will be
taking on the Erie Otters at the Central Huron Community Complex on Sept. 8. As the event
draws closer, more and more events are being planned around it including fundraising viewing
parties and a fan fest outside the complex prior to the game. (File photo)

The London Knights will take on
the Erie Otters in Clinton on Sept. 8,
with plenty of excitement both on
and off the ice.
Brent Scrimgeour, who helped
organize the Ontario Hockey League
(OHL) match, explained that the
fan -fest celebration, which will be
held at 4 p.m. outside the Central
Huron Community Complex, will
feature some great adventure and
excitement.
"We're going to have some of the
OHL events like the shoot -to -win
and an inflatable mini -sticks arena,"
he said.
Scrimgeour said that Brian Dale, a
musician known for performing at
venues around the Grand Bend area,
will also be on-site providing
entertainment.
Vendors will be at the event selling
everything from hockey cards to
souvenirs featuring not only the logo
of the hometown London Knights,
but of local hockey organizations as
well.
The Memorial Cup, which the
Knights won last season to become
the Canada champions, will also be
on-site.
For those who didn't find time to
get a ticket, which is understandable
as they sold out within days, the
game will be broadcast by Eastlink
TV both online and on Eastlink

Last weekend in Bluevale was the second annual Dave Johnston slo-pitch tournament at the
local baseball diamond. Shown are the Brew Jays taking on Team Garniss in the 'A' final in an
exciting 5-2 match. Johnston was killed in a farming accident in early 2015. (Vicky Bremner photo)
A familiar scene
After a special off-site practice held in Blyth in 2011, the
London Knights were happy to sign some autographs at the
Blyth and District Community Centre. The same is set to
happen after the Knights take on the Erie Otters at the
Central Huron Community Complex on Sept. 8 in a special
exhibition game. (File photo)
