Six in running for Junior, Little Ambassador titles

Farms Inc. as a herd manager.
Patti is involved and enjoys
participating in the North Perth 4-H
Beef Club and the Listowel 4-H
Dairy Club. She also belongs to the
Perth County Junior Farmers
organization.
She has a passion for showing
cattle with her family at both the
local and national levels and loves to
play broomball in the winter with the
Arctic Blaze team.
Patti is sponsored by the Huronlea
Auxiliary.
Raven Kenney is the 19 -year-old
daughter of Hugh and Monica Ives.
She is a former resident of Brussels,
but currently resides in Seaforth.
Raven is a graduate of F.E. Madill
Secondary School and was awarded
an entrance bursary from Conestoga
College, as well as a scholarship
from the Huron Manufacturing
Association.
She has completed her one-year
program and achieved her diploma
in carpentry construction from
PATTI BLAKE
Conestoga College, Waterloo
Campus. She's currently employed
at Postma Custom Building in
Clinton.
In the past, Raven was involved in
the Brussels Army Cadets and
helped with the Youth for Christ
organization. Her hobbies include
playing soccer, rugby and fishing.
Raven is sponsored by the
Brussels Legion Branch 218.
Nineteen -year-old Laura Souch
lives outside of Brussels with her
parents Gary and Cheryl Souch.
Laura is an F.E. Madill Secondary
School graduate, and most recently
has completed a one-year pre -
service fire diploma program at St.
Clair College.
She volunteers with St. John
Ambulance and is thinking about
returning to school to take the
paramedic program.
While in school, she competitively
participated in soccer, track and field
and in her spare time enjoys dance,
playing broomball and horseback
riding.
Laura currently works at

Another season of soccer is in the books for the Blyth U18
Girls team, which lost its final game last week to Clinton by
a score of 5-3 at Sparling's Fields in the south end of the

Regan Ryter is the 17 -year-old
daughter of Uli Ryter and Dorene
Cardiff and lives just outside of
Brussels.
She is a recent graduate of F.E.
Madill Secondary School, where she
was an Ontario Scholar. In the fall,
she is heading off to Fanshawe
College where she will be studying
marketing.
Regan has volunteered her time
with the Kids Corner Vacation Bible
School, was a peer helper in her
classroom at school and helped with
the drama guild with the 2016 Sears
Festival.
In her spare time she enjoys
baking, cake decorating,
photography and playing the piano.
She currently works at Cinnamon
Jim's Cafe, which is also sponsoring
her in the competition.
In this year's inaugural Little
Ambassador program, which is for
participants aged eight to 10, there
are four contestants: Ashlen
LAURA SOUCH
Burrows, Camryn Logan, Kaleigh
McCallum and James Speer. In the
Junior Ambassador program, for
children between the ages of 11 and
13, there are two participants:
Benjamin Speed and Benetta Van
Nes.
Each of the six participants had to
write a short essay, story or poem
about finding fun at the Brussels Fall
Fair. Organizer Sandra Cable says
