financial position. Any donations
made towards the project in the
coming months will continue to
significantly benefit the future of the
Hospital and local healthcare.
The first stages of the
redevelopment project are already
underway. The second storey of the
clinic in the new Community
Healthcare Campus is currently
being installed and is on track to
have the Family Health Team move
in later this year. Within the hospital,
renovations are nearing completion
on the new admitting space and
rehab department. These aspects of
the redevelopment were funded
locally and are necessary to create
space for the new oncology
department.
While a lot of work has been
completed, there is more still ahead
to expand and improve not only the
oncology department but also the
pharmacy, ambulatory care clinic,
sterilization department, in-patient
nursing station and operating suite,
replace digital imaging equipment
and to create the Community
Healthcare Campus. The
community's patience is greatly
appreciated as these changes take
place. The WDH Foundation and the
Listowel Wingham Hospital
Alliance (LWHA) Board recognize
that neither the success of the Our
Hospital, Our Future campaign nor
the major redevelopment of the
hospital would be possible without
the support of the community.
