Brussels stays busy during the height of summer
A busy place
Brussels was a busy place last week as several events
brought out visitors of all ages. Clockwise from top left: The
Brussels Tigers made history by being the first Tigers team
to claim the Brussels Mens Invitational Fastball Tournament
since its inception and it wasn't done without sacrifice, just
ask Corey Campbell who is getting beaned while at bat
during the A -A championship game where the Tigers beat
the Belmore Stingers 3-0 as teammate Shawn Daw looks
on; the Brussels Conservation Area played host to an
outdoor church service led by Pastor Steve Hildebrand; the
Walton Brewers were ousted during the aforementioned
tournament in the B -B final by the Port Stanley Pirates; Ken
Hawkins, right, along with house band members Don
Nicholson, left, and Johnny Bryndza played at the Brussels
Lions annual Fiddle Jamboree on Sunday at the Brussels,
Morris and Grey Community Centre and the Brussels
Mennonite Fellowship hosted its annual Vacation Bible
School all last week. (Denny Scott photos)
