Administrative Assistant
The Municipality of Morris Turnberry and the Township of North Huron are two rural municipalities on the
north-east corner of the County of Huron. They include the Town of Wingham, Villages of Bluevale & Blyth
and the Hamlets of Belgrave, Belmore & Walton. You can discover cultural, historical, and tasty delights,

The two municipalities have entered into a shared services arrangement, including public works and
building.
As a result, we have an opening for the position of Administrative Assistant, reporting directly to the Director
of Public Works and indirectly to the Chief Building Official of the shared services departments.
You will:
Provide administrative support to the shared services public works and building departments;
Maintain department records;
Assist CBO and Director of Public Works with preparation of monthly and annual reporting;
Provide assist with the development of departmental policies and reports;
Provide initial customer service;
Manage department complaints;
Assist with the health & safety program.
Qualifications:
A track record of at least three years, of providing excellent support services ideally in a municipal
setting;
Experience in providing administrative assistance to a senior manager;
Strong written and oral communication skills;
Confident and dynamic with a proven track record of exceptional service to the public;
A collaborative and team approach;
Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with all stakeholders;
Strong problem solving, computer, organizational and time management skills;
Possess a valid class G Ontario Driver's Licence;
Post -secondary degree or diploma in office administration or related discipline would be an asset.
