Congratulations to Andrew
and Amanda Procter on the
birth of Darcy William born
April 7.
The introit, "This is the
Day" and lighting of the
Christ candle was followed by
the call to worship read
responsively. The
congregation sang, "All
Creatures of Our God and
King" accompanied by
Elizabeth Procter at the piano.
After the opening prayer
the choir sang, "Jesus,
Teacher and Friend". Nancy
Jardin gave a report on the
Minute for Missions. The
children's song, "Jesus Loves
Me" was accompanied by
Mackenzie Wightman at the
piano and Elizabeth Procter,
the organ.
The children gathered in the
front pew for story time with
Brian. He had brought star
fruit for all to try. God told
Peter that he should try
different foods and he
couldn't live on one thing
alone. We are put on the earth
to try different things in life.
After the prayer the children
adjourned to Sunday school.
Karen Davenport read
scripture from Acts II: 1-18,
John 13: 31-35 and Psalm 148
read responsively with the
congregation. Brian's
message to the congregation
was reflected around the
children's time. God
commands Peter to eat and
drink and try everything.
Many religious groups do
not eat pork. Pork is
forbidden in many areas of
the world. We are so blessed
with so many foods that God
gives us freely.
We need to have our faith
and send the message out for
all to see. We are lucky to be
able to celebrate the first
harvest and we should love
each other as he loves us.
After the singing of the
hymn, "Spirit of the Living
God", Larry Harper and Doug
Walker took up the offering
which was dedicated. The
closing hymn, "Come, Let Us
Sing of a Wonderful Love",

Now In Peace" concluded the
