Feb. 25. The team's next game is a
rematch against the Meteors in Blyth
on March 10 at 6:30 p.m.
The Atom Local League Burgundy
squad posted two wins, besting the

score of 1-0 and decimating the
Wingham Ironmen 7-2 on Feb. 28.

The PeeWee Rep squad is
scheduled to take on the Lucknow
Stick play
It isn't about which part of the equipment the puck bounces off, it's about making sure the puck
doesn't bounce off the back of the net. The Atom C Girls team, unfortunately, had more pucks
hit their own net than Wallaceburg's when they faced off against them in a playoff game on
Feb. 28 and lost 3-1. The team next welcomes Ingersoll to Seaforth for a home game on March
4. (Denny Scott photo)
Sepoys on March 4 and the South

both on home ice.
The squad will next face off
against the BCH Ice Dogs on March
7 at 5:30 p.m.

a win, a tie and two losses over the
past week, starting on Feb. 21 with a

I am writing my Auburn News
article this week from a very
different place than where I would
usually write. I am sitting by the
beach in Punta Cana, Dominican
Republic where I am marvelling at
turquoise waters and enjoying the
shade under palm trees. The other
night I was sitting at the back of a
restaurant here when suddenly I
heard, "Pastor Mark. Is that you?" I
looked up and came face to face with
fellow Auburn Huron Chapel
member Lianne Van de Wetering
from Londesborough. My wife
Glenda and I sat with Lianne
bewildered at just how small this
world which we live in is. But fear
not... Lord willing I will be
back with you at home as you read
this.
I am looking forward to this week
in Auburn because Huron Chapel
will be hosting its annual missionary
conference. We are excited this year
to have most of the missionaries the
church supports present at the
conference including Dave and
Debra Rodges formerly of
neighbouring Westfield who are
now serving as missionaries in
Papua, New Guinea. As I have
mentioned in previous articles,
mission work is important to us at
Huron Chapel with over one-third of
our gross budget going directly to
better the lives of others through
mission work.
This Friday, March 4 at 7 p.m. we
will kick off the weekend conference
spending time with our missionaries
in order to get to know them better
first as people.
On Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m.
the different missionaries will give
us updates on the work they are
doing for us in their respected
mission fields.
A note for parents: the church will
be offering childcare during this
time as well. Following these
updates we will be holding a good
old church potluck supper.
Following supper there will be a
family scavenger hunt in the church
building. Closing the weekend off
Tim Whatley, the director of New
Tribes Missions will be speaking to
us on Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m.
The club is planning a bonspiel on
March 12 and Steve Knight is
looking for teams. Call Steve if you
have a team to enter.
The meal will be looked after by
the club members.
