Continued from page 8
Feb. 27 in Clinton at 5 p.m.
The Novice Rep squad has
notched three wins in its playoffs,
besting Seaforth on Feb. 13 and
Ripley on Feb. 20 1-0 and beating
Zurich 4-1 on Feb. 21. The team next
plays against Zurich on Feb. 27 in
Blyth at 8:30 a.m.
The Atom Rep team has struggled
in its post -season thus far, posting
five losses. The team did best
Saugeen Shores on Feb. 6. The
team's final games are scheduled for
Feb. 25 against BCH in Clinton at 7
p.m. and Feb. 28 against the Saugeen
Shores Storm in Saugeen Shores.
The Atom LL Black squad hasn't
been able to earn a win in its post -
season, though it started off with a
tie against Central Perth on Feb. 19.
The team then lost to Central Perth
on Feb. 20 and lost to the BCH Ice
Dogs 1 team on Feb. 21.
The team's next match is Feb. 25
against the Mitchell Meteors in
Mitchell at 7 p.m. Following that,
the squad takes on the BCH Ice
Dogs 2 team in Blyth on Feb. 26 at 6
p.m.
The Atom LL Burgundy team has
earned a 3-0 win over the Kincardine
Kinucks 1 and dropped a 3-1
decision to the Kincardine Kinucks 2
team earlier this month.
The team is set to take on the
Kincardine Kinucks 2 squad on Feb.
27 at 4:30 p.m. in Kincardine and
then is on the road again, facing off
against the Wingham Ironmen on
Feb. 28 in Wingham at 3 p.m.
The PeeWee Rep Squad have
faced some tough opposition in the
start of its Ontario Minor Hockey
Association (OMHA) and Western
Ontario Athletic Association
(WOAA) playoffs. The team started
strong against the Minto Mad Dogs
in early January, managing a 3-1
win, but then dropped four
consecutive games, three to Minto
and one to the South Bruce Blades.
The team turned it around recently,
however, having managed a 2-1 win
over the Lucknow Sepoys on Feb.
20. The squad will next take to the
ice against the Drayton Defenders in
Drayton on March 2.
The PeeWee Local League squad
have reported a single game played
in this year's playoffs against
Central Perth on Feb. 17. The team
managed a 3-2 win over its
competition. Next, the team takes on
the Ripley Wolves on Feb. 27 in
Brussels at 2:30 p.m. and then face
off against the Zurich Thunder in
Zurich on Feb. 29.
The Bantam Rep Squad have had a
busy playoff season starting Jan. 10
with a loss against the Seaforth Stars
in Brussels. Fortunately, over the
next week, the squad was able to
manage three wins against Seaforth,
taking the best -of -five series. The
team wasn't able to repeat that
success against the South Bruce
Blades late in January,
however, losing the best -of -five
series 3-1.
Recently, the squad bested the
Wingham Ironmen and the Central
Perth Rep before, most recently,
falling to the Ironmen 1-0 on Feb.
19.
The team next takes to the ice on
Feb. 25 when it faces off against the
Goderich Sailors in Goderich at
7 p.m. The team then faces off
against the Central Perth Rep squad
in Brussels on Feb. 26 at 8 p.m.
The Bantams will then take on the
Seaforth Stars on Feb. 28 in Blyth at
6:30 p.m. and the Sailors again on
Feb. 29 at 7:30 p.m.
The Bantam Local League Squad
started off its playoffs with a 3-1 win
over Minto on Feb. 17, however
the postseason has gone downhill
from there with a loss to the BCH
Ice Dogs 1 team on Feb. 19 and a
loss to the South Bruce Blades on
Feb. 21.
The team next takes to the ice
against the Lucknow Sepoys on Feb.
28 in Blyth at 5 p.m.
The Midget Rep Squad lost its
OMHA playoff series versus
Seaforth 3-1 in January and hasn't
had much better luck in its WOAA
playoffs. The team was bested by the
Central Perth Rep team late in
January and, in February, was beat
by Mitchell twice. The squad has
recently turned its luck around,
however, besting Central Perth 5-4
on Feb. 21. The team looks to take
on the Lucknow Sepoys on Feb. 29
in Lucknow at 8:30 p.m.
Last but not least, the Midget
Local League squad has managed a
win and a loss in its postseason play.
The team was bested by the
Wingham Ironmen on Feb. 11, but
turned around and beat its local
rivals 5-1 on Feb. 17
The team is next set to play against
the Howick Hornets on Feb. 25 in
Howick.

The Hullett Central Public School boys and girls volleyball teams travelled to Central Huron
Secondary School on Feb. 16 to compete against other local schools and prove which team
has the superior servers, setters and spikers. The boys squad found plenty of victory
throughout the day, besting all but Clinton and Seaforth before the tournament was over.
