(Vicky Bremner photo) Shannon Scott of SHINE Yoga held the first of many pay -what -you - can yoga class fundraisers at the Blyth East Side Dance Studio over the weekend and was thrilled with the outcome. Called Karma Yoga classes, the fundraising classes allow people to attend and pay whatever they can afford, all of which will go towards funding a school program Scott runs. "The class went really well," she said. "There were 10 people that came out and they donated $165, which is a really generous donation for the school yoga program" The program, which Scott said was developed as a result of studies between Kripalu's Institute for Extraordinary Living and Harvard Medical School, is a 24 -session educational system which teaches social and emotional learning skills # 1 And We UEF / Still Try 1144404" Harder! "Now that I'm back here, I'm trying to get it in more local schools," she said. Unfortunately, not all schools can afford the program, so Scott looked to these Karma Yoga classes to raise money to help with that problem. Scott will be able to put all the funds she raises from the classes towards the school programs thanks to the fact that Blyth East Side Dance Studio has donated the space for the classes. In 1989, he had his best season, going 23-6 with a 2.16 ERA and winning another Cy Young award. Returning for a second straight year is NCAA head baseball coach Mark Brew.
