PROUDLY SUPPORTING OUR HOSPITAL AND COMMUNITY
A helping hand
Brussels Transport pledged $50,000 over the next five years to the Wingham and District
Hospital Foundation's Our Hospital, Our Future campaign last week. The campaign, which will
see major renovations to the current hospital building and the healthcare campus located at
the former Wingham Public School, is pushing for renovations to help modernize health care
in Wingham and streamline hospital visits and use. Shown are, from left: Jenny Hogervorst
and Mark Foxton of the campaign committee and Lyn and Jim Jutzi of Brussels Transport.

A NOTE FROM BETTY

Well, January is established in all
her glory. We now have weather to
talk about. Enough of that rain and
warmth — snow squalls, whiteouts,
closed roads — oh yes, January is
here.
Annual meetings have been
scheduled, the time to look back at
the activities of the group, and to
have a good check on what really
happened. Perhaps the real reason
for this review is to set the agenda
for future, to look ahead, to dream
of the future to hear new
thoughts and to set the work for the
next year.
Fractures are always a surprise,
sometimes expected after certain
activities and more often a
spontaneous event. Sandra Machan
and Neil Schade are living with
fractures at this moment and now
know that January is not the ideal
time to easily get on with life. Good
healing you two.
Lots of our people have hit the
southern climates as they deal with
the winter months. Others celebrate
the whiteness and have plans for the
days that are not really for social
life. Books, movies, visits, closets
are often on the to-do list for
January and February. Looking
forward is a much healthier way of
dealing with life than checking on
the history. The past is gone, the
future is not here, so deal well with
the present and treat it as just that, a
present to enjoy to the fullest.
Enjoy the quiet days of January.
Bye now, Betty G.W.
