Local futsal team tops Niagara invitational tourney finals while the U14 team bested the second place team from Toronto before being eliminated in the tournament playoffs. The accomplishments of the teams are a credit to their management, according to North Huron Futsal Club organizer Annie Sparling of Blyth. "We changed coaches and training since last year," Sparling said. "The players are doing very well under coach Edwin Saraccini." Saraccini has coached teams throughout the London area before he came to North Huron to coach for the local futsal league. The training will continue throughout the spring, according to Sparling, who said they were looking at bringing a professional player from South America to help coach the teams. The club also plans on expanding by creating a U10 team in the fall, according to Sparling. For more information, contact Sparling at 519-524-0609.
